is it possible to ring the Gardai , im looking for my Aunties number and all i know is she lives in Gorey Co. Wexford

would the Gardai be able to retrieve her number if i rang a station

Is it an emergency involving law enforcement or national security? Even if it was, why would they have your aunts number and why would they give it to you? What type of emergency is it?

That is something the OP can politely ask them to do but presumably it is down to their discretion (chances are that they probably would do it).

They won't give you the number but they will contact her and pass on your details by letter or call. You could post on local Facebook pages someone will know her. Good luck.

The Aunt may not have a landline, if caller rings the local gardai and give said aunts address etc. & asks them to pass on her details for aunt to contact her, seeing as it is urgent information they may accept the request to do so.

The local Post Office might know, but again, whether they'll give that information is unlikely.

They will very likely know her address. They won't give it out. But if the OP writes to her with even a partial address they'll do their damnedest to see she gets the letter. So he could write to her and ask her for her phone number.
