Leak from radiator advice

Hi guys, have noticed a drip of water on the floor below this valve over the last few days, see last photo. Is it possible to just tighten something? Done some reading and a lot of posts talking about having to turn off boiler, bleed rad, re pressurise the rad etc which I wouldn't have any experience doing.

Wondering if I need a plumber here or is there a small adjustment I can try first, thanks. Drip seems to be coming down from metal valve and forming where yellow line is. Second photo is showing the thermostat end of rad. Boiler photo also attached thanks a lot for any advice.

Hi, yes you can try tightening the joint without emptying or reducing the pressure. You may have some water escape, but unlikey to be much at all.

I figure it's leaking from the bottom nut circled?

Throw a few rags or a plastic container under the pipe first. Then using a pipe wrench or other suitable wrench slacken off the nut by opening it clockwise ( looking from above) only a quarter to a half-turn. Then tighten it back up around a quarter to a half turn more than it's original position.

Dry off the area and leave it. If iys still dripping then you probably need to look at draining or reducing the pressure and then using Teflon tape to effect a better repair.
