New Eir Modem

Hi, recently got a new eir modem in the house. The connection is very up and down sometimes and connect for 4-5 hours then gone for an hour. On the phones it'd connect but it says "Connected without Internet" Any ideas? Have a TP link going in as an extender. Could that be interfering?
