Shooting insurance (Help)

Looking to take out a new insurance policy and I’m just wondering who everyone’s with at the moment, was looking at country sports Ireland but there seems to be no mention of who the underwriter is, any help is welcome and thanks in advance!

I've heard good things about the IFA policy, think it is called IFA countryside or similar.

That’s the one caught my eye alright especially with them being open about the underwriter too, little bit more expensive but seems to be worth it

Hello,

I'm with IFA Countryside, and have found them good to deal with.

I like their transparency, that its a well known Irish insurance company underwriting the risk, and that they are actively involved in other matters of interest (they publish an informative email on a regular basis, covering various matters of intetest to the shooting and hunting community, for example).

I'm pretty sure that there's a discount for members of affiliated clubs, albeit what's great about them, is that you don't have to be in an affiliated club, to get cover.

I thankfully haven't needed to make a claim, so can't speak for experience, in that regard.

Just renewed with NARGC through the club.

You've got to be in an affiliated club, to join the NARGC.

I actually got quite annoyed with them, when they wouldn't let me retain my cover, one I moved to a non affiliated club. I thought it was really poor form tbh.

Oh, btw, the affiliate membership with IFA Countryside is €50pa.

It would be interesting to see a comparison of the different levels of cover, offered from the three different providers.

Sportscover Europe appear to be the underwriters for countysports, or maybe just a agency organising it?
