Doubt they do talk to that many. Very few socialists in the real world are looking for communism and believe that communism is the end result of socialism.

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

There is a difference between Saudi Arabia and Venezuela.

One is a Monarchy - that is their system of government. They don't pretend otherwise.

The other pretends to be a democracy but is really just a dictatorship.

Wagner spotted in Caracas defending last remaining statue

Cue the excuses from usual suspects for these scum being there “to help”

Along with feigned ignorance as to why the bunch of Nazi scum are called Wagner.

Something that, for whatever reason, hasn't made it into many English-speaking news articles is that the opposition has access to over 80% of the 'actas', or poling station tallies, from the election. Whilst the government was celebrating their stolen 'victory', the opposition was busy collecting and collating data from the polling stations. They have posted online photocopies of all of the tallies and some sources have aggregated the votes to show a clear victory for the opposition. It's not even close.

Every Venezuelan can see the results for their local polling station online by entering their phone number on the opposition site. As everyone shares their results, this has brought about a level of anger within the local populace that hasn't been seen since Chavez took over all those years ago. Even the most poverty stricken socialist supporters have had enough of Maduro's narco empire. There is, somewhat incredibly, a level of shock in the country as to how blatant this electoral fraud was compared to in previous years. They are sadly accustomed to fraud in every walk of life, but there has been absolutely zero effort to hide the manipulative efforts of the incumbent government.

As someone married to a Venezuelan, and who has been taken in by countless amazing Venezuelan in-laws and friends, I can only hope that Maduro one day hangs from the tallest tree in Caracas

Desgraciadamente, mano no tengo mucha fe.

More lies from stooges of a dictator stealing an election. And you post it here without scrutiny.

Very few socialists in the real word seem to have a notion what socialism actually is, including the OP.

You have quite obviously left leaning opinions, do you identify as a socialist yourself?

A good move, no good having all these resources if you can't get it out the ground.

A desperate move to try and sell into a group that is already buying russian reserves at knockdown prices.

I don't think anyone in venezuela (or the likes of yourself) could credibly call it a "good" move.
