Mass stabbing incident in Southport UK - threadbans in OP

A number of people including Children have been stabbed in Southport, Merseyside.

Reports of 1 dead and multiple children stabbed and a major incident declared at Alder Hey and other hospitals in the area.

Be it mental health or radicalisation one can only hope the full weight of the applies. Thoughts are with the victims and the responders.

I believe it was. There's been no official confirmation of that as yet but, if you drop "Hart St, Southport" into Google maps a number of childcare operators in the area. The Blue Anchor pub is another location that appears in quite a few of the cordon photos and again, a number of childcare operators close by.

Same with all these types of incidents nowadays.

Ten years ago if someone tripped over a crack in the pavement the media were getting the usual talking heads in to discuss how ISIS were doubtlessly responsible for it. It's swung the other way in recent times for better or worse.

Except in the case of Islamic terrorism it is often radicalisation.

No one as yet knows who carried out this horrendous act or what their motivation was. The poor victims, their parents and the other children and staff present. It's horrible that anyone can carry out such a cruel act.
