Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi All,

As you can tell by the title i’m wondering what a qualification in Pre-Paramedic studies would do for you in terms of employment with the National Ambulance Service or Dublin Fire Brigade as i’m starting a college course in September and will be studying Pre-Paramedic studies in inchicore college of further education and in the description of the course it mentions about being able to use the qualification to seek employment with the hse and other private services but no where online is able to tell me what roles exactly I can get using the qualification, i’m hoping any emts , paramedics, APs or even someone who went to the college and done the course can answer my question!

Honestly, not much. You could use it as something on your application or interview stage to say "yeah I done this" but overall it's not different than doing anything else healthcare related.

You'd be better off doing a pre-nursing QQI and working as a HCA for a bit.
