Stone requirements for planning.

    One of the conditions on the planning is that the stonework "shall be of natural stone indigenous to the vicinty of the site"

    Given that most of the country would be either sandstone or limestone is this consider sufficient?

    Nothing to do with what type of stone there is in other parts of Ireland. You are required to use whatever type of stone is available in your local area.

    They want the stone used to face the house to come from the nearest quarry would be my reading of that.

    The rest of the country is not really relevant to a local vicinity of the same.

    What stone is in the area? That what you need to use, ideally as locally sourced as possible
