Last month Sky News UK disappeared from my Ariva 153 Combo HD box so I searched boards.ie for a fix and found that entering 11934 (frequency), V (polarity) and 27500 (symbol rate) in TP scan worked. I now have Sky News UK again. However in my search of boards.ie I also got the impression that Sky News Ireland could be found at 12090, V, 29500. When I entered this I only received SkyNewsArabia. Is Sky News Ireland available in Ireland on FTA and if so, how can I receive it? TIA

There is, but the only difference is adverts and sponsorship. No programmes are different (well except that one time they didn’t show the Oscars, but they’ve lost the rights to that now anyway).

OP try 12090 V DVB-S2 QPSK 29.5 8/9 and see if it works. I wouldn’t work too hard on it if you have the UK version already. Only the SD version is FTA the HD version is encrypted. Sky have been closing down SD versions and I’m not sure if they’ve gotten around to Sky News yet.
