Depop - selling items to UK customers from Ireland

I've just joined Depop and have sold my first item to a UK buyer and now need to post it, which I'm intending to do via An Post. I noticed though that when the buyer paid via PayPal, she was charged tax of €8.50 on top of the item price (€25) + postage (€17.50), so €51 total. Depop then took a €12.75 fee from me via PayPal. So she's paid this €8.50 tax but did that go to Depop as part of their fee or am I supposed to do something with this tax? Thanks in advance!

Not sure, but be ULTRA careful selling to UK customers. They are considered to be the most dishonest of all. I'd be suspicious if someone paying €24 post and fees on a €25 item.

    Take photos, weigh the package.

Btw, anpost are very expensive for the UK as they only use airfreight, but if it will fit in the anpost "packet" size and under 2kg, it's ok.

Also put value including postage as under £39 and no customs fees are due.

    Packet size

    • Maximum: a combined length, height and depth of 900mm (no individual dimension can exceed 600mm, with a tolerance of 2mm)
