Tractor service Mechanic

Hi,

I am Vinny, new to farming and new to tractors. I am based from Annacotty, Limerick. I recently bought a 1979 Leyand 262 tractor. Looking for servicing it and check the brakes before I take on road.

Could someone please refer a mechanic who can visit my place and look after the tractor.

Hi Vinny, I don't know your locality so can't help with a mechanic. It's a nice simple tractor and you could do a lot of work yourself with a service manual.

Probably no harm getting it checked out if you are a complete novice, given the year of the machine it may be worth joining the local vintage club for help/advice and names of local mechanics. Club members can also get discounted insurance including for light farm work.
