Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    In galway there in douighsea (some unwell etc) saw a scene out of darby o gill at best a 10 year old and I'd say a five year old the boy was dressed as a lepracaun girl in dress on a main road in a tiny little cart and one of those tiny baby pony type horses utterly suureeal

    Joe being nasty to Shay today. Shay says “My wife rang and said not to bring a blanket home” in relation to that karaoke version of Blanket On Tge Ground he’d played earlier. “I thought she’d just tell you to not come home” says Joe. You stay classy Joe.

    That’s something I’d say to one of by best friends if I knew him and the wife well, but to a work colleague it’s a no-no IMHO.

    Maybe Duffoon should discuss the obviously dangerous work environment that exists in RTE. Jim Jennings has been ill for a very long time while the former DG, Dee Forbes has also succumbed to a long term illness severely limiting her ability to attend public events and is obviously quite life changing. Maybe there’s an instance of sick building syndrome involved.

    So this reads like Jim Jennings fecked off on sick leave once the shít hit the fan. Big Kev didn’t appoint him to the new Exec Board effectively firing him. Jim Jennings took a case to the WRC and maybe won but an agreement was brokered and accepted. Jim Jennings’s is probably heading off with a nice wedge now.

    It seems like the RTE board had gold plated watertight contracts... and if RTE or de Gubbermint tried to feck with them.... it was straight off to the High Court.. for a lottery sized payout.

    Mr Bakhurst said that an agreement had been reached around the terms of Mr Jennings departure "with the support of the Workplace Relations Commission."

    A spokesman for RTÉ subsequently said that part of the process of settlements brokered by the WRC includes that the terms remain confidential.

    Meaning the terms are eye watering to your average Joe.
