small plywood piece for mounting

I want to mount a bunch of hooks on a wall, but the wall is only plasterboard. I was thinking to use a piece of plywood, 1mx1m and screw that to the wall with 4/6/8 fixings, then I can screw a bunch of smaller hooks to it. Where can I get a piece of 18mm plywood in roughly that size, Dublin area? All the places that sell…

Woodworkers do an off-cut bin, might suit.

Woodies sell small sheets - but they cost as much as a full sheet.

Most DIY's will have 4x4ft, I/2 boards €15-20. depending on thickness.
