Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    The Dependent Relative Tax Credit

    Do you have a an older relative who lives with you at your expense? See below if your eligible👇

    The conditions📋

    1. You must maintain a relative, or a relative of a spouse, who is incapacitated by old age or infirmity; or
    2. The widowed parent/civil partner of the individual or the individuals spouse whether incapacitated or not.

    Credit Amount 💶

    1. The tax credit for 2023 is €245.
    2. This is on the basis that the dependent relative doesn’t have income in excess of €16,780.

    If two people are supporting the dependent relative then the credit is split in proportion to their respective spends.

    How to claim the credit 💻:

    1. Go on to your MyAccount

    2. Click "Manage My Taxes"

    3. Click "Claim Tax Credits" and select the "Dependent Relative Credit".
