Radio Presenters with speech impediments

Is it common? Should a speech impediment prevent you from becoming a broadcaster? Depends on the nature and severity I suppose? Regional dialect/accents play a part in what is deemed acceptable/normal.
I can think of one presenter who cannot pronounce his THs. So when he is calling out phone numbers for example it’s pronounced tree and turty tree.

Nails on a blackboard to my ears but maybe that’s just me!
