Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

How to clean garden cushions

Hi. I have cream cushion covers that came with rattan furniture. Unfortunately they have been in storage in an outdoor garden box and are mill dew stained. I can't find any care label so not sure what the fabric even is but can they be machine washed or how to clean? Many thanks.

They are probably somewhat waterproof so washing in a machine might not work. However if they are mainly mildewed its unfortunate that you are not going to get most of it out whatever you do, mildew is actual damage to the fibre. Someone else may have a better suggestion but I wonder if surface cleaning them with carpet cleaner would work - work with the foam rather than soaking the cushions.

Surface clean with dish washing liquid and vinegar. Use a scrubbing brush. Works every time.

Maybe try something like this, it works great on car seat fabrics.
