Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Springboard and Employment

    Hi all,

I am currently on Jobseekers payment, and I am about to commence a Springboard Course tomorrow week. I have uploaded my Social Welfare Statement and it has been accepted and I am currently enrolled in the course. The Course is part-time online two evenings a week, so it won't effect potential employment.

I have seen what I would consider my dream job, it states that it would commence immediately. If I applied this weekend what are the chances of me being interviewed, hired and commencing next week? I know it says that employment takes precedence over a Springboard course, and I understand that (I can very easily do both) but my concern is that if I were to be hired this week would that effect my Springboard course regarding paying a fee? I just don't think I could afford the 10% contribution at the moment.

It says on the Springboard FAQ's:

"You need to be eligible on the date the course starts but if your circumstances change after that, you can continue on the course. You will not be asked to repay any fees paid on your behalf."

Of course, this is all hypothetical, but if, like I said, I were to apply this weekend would there be a any chance of me being hired this week, and having to pay the 10% contribution?

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.
