Any suggestions on an on wire meter, or a clamp, to monitor KW usage of heat pump and hot water? bonus if can view on phone. Not worth spending a fortune on though

Do you have a socket circuit nearby? How're your wiring skills?

If you're handy you could power one of these from a plug, little bit of cable and fit it in a plexo box. Alternatively it could go in the distribution board.

If you're willing to spend some money you could invest in a heat pump monitor

Priciest part is the heat meter which needs to be plumbed in near the heat pump, but I think you can get the cheaper kit which only measures electricity consumption

+1 for Shelly EM. Was easy to set up and hasn't flapped once on me.

Also for consideration is Emporia Vue - if you were looking to get far more than 2 circuits [ Shelly EM can monitor 1 or 2 ] covered - https://shop.emporiaenergy.com/products/emporia-vue-3

Managed to root out an old "Owl" energy meter. It is not wifi based but I will see if it works.

Just get a spare MyEnergi CT clamp and configure it for "Storage".

They re currently beta testing the support for heat pump monitoring
