Video cam output to monitor

Hi, I am doing some amateur video work on a Sony Handycam FDR-AX43.

The feedback screen which shows your current footage is very small and difficult to tell if the recording is at the correct zoom levels. I was wondering is there a way of connecting a tablet or screen to the camera to enlarge that live feed to be better able to tell how the recording is going in real time.

Is this possible, or any advice on what type of screen to use?

I don't have a FDR-AX43, but looking at the spec, it seems to have a micro HDMI port. With the appropriate cable, you could use this to output to a TV or monitor.

You could use any TV or computer monitor that has HDMI input, or if you need portability, a field monitor like this:

Thank you very much. I didn’t realise the micro hdmi would output during recording, assumed it was only during playback mode.
