What Ice Cream machine? (Ninja Creami or other)

just wondering if anyone here has used, owns or knows someone who owns one of these and has real world opinions on Ninja Creami?

Fairly confident in the machines ability but I’m largely just not sure what is the best model? Creami or Creami Deluxe? I can’t really find anything sticking out to me that warrants a price double that of the original Creami but if anyones used one they might have some insight!

Any alternative suggestions are welcome also.

So for more usual compressor icecream machines:

    • I have https://www.juicers.ie/cuisinart-professional-ice-cream-gelato-maker-ice100bcu-in-silver/
      • Doesn't need a salt/alcohol layer between the can and thte machine
      • Very noisy
    • I borrowed previously https://www.juicers.ie/magimix-gelato-expert-ice-cream-maker-11680-in-silver/
      • Needs the salt/alcohol layer which was a pain to mop up
      • Parts go in the dishwaher
      • Much easier to clean the dasher than for the cuisinart
      • Figures out when the effort is higher and tells you the icecream is done
      • Spicy pricey

I definitely prefer the compressor models to the bowl in the freezer ones, even though they take up a lot of space. Even though making iceecream is still roughly a two day affair (make up the icecream and leave in the fridge overnight before churning) I prefer the results and the dasher hasn't yet got stuck on me if I wasn;t paying enough attention.

Excavating the icecream from the bowl/dasher is messy no matter which you use, maybe the creami is easier to retrieve the icecream?

The creami looks like a budget pacojet which is completely different, so really I'm no help there.

I would reconvene the compressor variety myself. Had one years ago that’s bore in the attic but it did the whole bob out of the box and there wasn’t any real need to freeze the bowl first which was a big bonus. Ok you’re still cooking your mixture but you can do that in the morning and be easy the ice cream in the afternoon if you need it quickly. No doubt the budget ones do the job but definitely refined a compressor machine myself

cheers guys. Yeah I like the compact size and that but mandatory 24H freezing before churning is also a bit of a nuisance. Okay you should chill ice cream overnight granted, but really, if you get it down to 1-2c you can get away with it.

Sorbets etc are another matter then!! Herself mostly wants it for milkshakes and yokes I say. Sure a hand blender will make the best of milkshakes anyway…
