Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hello.

What's the best way to get from Croke Pk Hotel to the 3Arena and back?

Is it within walking distance and is it safe or can I get the Luas?

it’s about a 45 minute walk, I wouldn’t recommend it late at night tbh

Drumcondra to Connolly on the train is 1 stop, then onto the Luas which I think is only 1 stop again to 3 arena

The area around Connolly station is the only ropey part

It will be a cheap enough taxi journey to be honest and might even be cheaper than 4 individual train and Luas tickets, about 15 to 20 euro maybe

Its €2 without a Leap card (1.50 with) from Dromcondra to Connolly and about another 2 for the LUAS so you're way off on that assumption.

4 tickets, if OP is traveling with others, I'm not sure of they are or not

Chances are it's more than 1 person which starts to make a taxi good value

What the hell? Do people not know GOOGLE MAPS actually exists?

It's fine to walk. Dublin isn't skidrow in LA.

Some people need to molly coddled their entire lives like OP.

If it's for a concert, there will be large numbers of people walking from the 3 Arena in all directions. Perfectly safe.

Easy walk, straight down North Circular Road, on to Seville Place and straight ahead to the Liffey, then turn left. The neighbourhoods are a little gritty but you will be perfectly safe. But if you don't feel like walking all the way, train/bus/luas is pretty easy too.
