Bolts on tractor wheel rim loose

Hi All, looking for a bit of advise, i have problems going back few months with the bolts on the rim of the front wheel becoming loose, i bought a few new ones, they have a little nub on them to lock into the rim so they don't turn but now i notice all have them have too much play,i tried putting a spot of weld on the bolt to stop them from turning but not sure if i need to bite the bullet and buy the entire rim rather than messing with replacing all the bolts again and welding them.

anyone else come across this before?

could you re centre the rim on the centre hub (it's well off in the pic) and weld the whole thing together on the inside

we done it years ago on a back wheel, if there's a tube in it best to take it out

while you're at it no harm to give the whole thing a rub of a wire brush and a lick of paint

If you're doing this I would advise taking the tyre off beforehand or you could super-heat the air in the tyre. Tyre could explode if you are unlucky. Contractor near me is lucky to be alive when he did something similar a few years back.

You need to keep tightening bolts every few hours or daily. Had the same problem with square dish rims on a ford. Where the notch is for the bolts gets worn.

Yeah my own fault, I knew that they were getting loose but didn't act until I lost one.
