Painting onto fresh plaster

    Hi All,

    I got work done in the house a few years ago and one wall was replastered. I'm finally getting around to picking paint samples.

    I understand that when you paint onto plaster you're supposed to water down your first layer? Or possibly mix with PVA glue? I've seen conflicting info online.

    I'm wondering if that means I should avoid putting my paint samples onto the wall. Or will it be fine when it comes to painting over them?

    As you paint samples are only going to in a small area,it will be fine.

    Oh and don't use PVA, use a tinned out coat of white matt emulsion for the 1st coat.
