Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Selling cattle in mart - tb test

We have 3 cattle we are selling in October. They are 1-2 Year olds.

The tb test will be 6 months at end of October.

My understanding is that if we sell them mid Oct they are under 6 months and the buyer does not need to complete a TB test withing 30 days. Which may make them more attractive for purchasing. Or maybe not obviously.

    Am I misunderstanding this?

The 6 months testing regulations only apply to cattle over 36 months or cows of any age. Cattle under 36 months (provided there's not a calf registered to them) are governed by the previous 12 months testing regulations, you can sell away up to the date of the annual test.

Edit to say you can sell any animal that's in 12 months Tb test but under certain circumstances eg if over 36 months or a cow and over 6 months since the date of test the buyer may have to test after purchase. Depending on the buyer eg feed lot status they may not have to test.
