Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    hi all,

I’m thinking about getting a PS4 second hand on some deal or adverts etc so that my 10 year old can have a go at puzzle games that involve her reading and interacting with a character to achieve an objective.
    Can anyone recommend any games?

I used to love Final fantasy 7 but that might be a bit of a challenge for her at the moment.

I think a Switch 1 might be a better bet. More children friendly AAA games and as a dad of 2 girls, more female friendly AAA games; and a load of titles available for it. And it's portable and connects to the TV. Example ... Breath of the wild is full of interaction, puzzles, reading. Also Animal Crossing. Expensive games though, but worth it. And they keep their value if you want to sell second hand. You might see some real bargains with Switch 2 due to appear soon. Also, it's been so popular there are loads of them around, so should be cheapish 2nd hand. Amazon warehouse had hardly opened ones recently for less than a 100 quid.
