Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi All,

    I'm sick of smeared windows. Any good glass cleaner out there on the market that's easy to use & leaves a smear free finish.

    Whatever you're using , I've found that the final clean with a microfiber cloth works wonders.

    When I started in the motor trade a million years ago it was a wet chamois & newspaper. Things have moved on since that :)

    Warm water with a tiny dot of washing up liquid (only because I can never find vinegar that doesn't stink), and dry off with clean newspaper

    I tried a load of window/screen cleaning products and the best smear-free result I got was the Supervalu own brand window cleaner

    As above a waffle cloth helps keep glass smear free when applying product

    I’ve gotten Autoshine glass cleaner in discount/pound shops and Mr Price and it’s great. Every bit as good as the stuff in Halfords etc. €2 or €2.50. A waffle weave microfibre is the other key to streak free glass.

    Those bargain places tend to get end of line products that bigger retailers are getting rid of. I’ve picked up some very decent cleaning products and screen wash etc in there for a pittance.

    Remember Detailing World had a bargain detailing thread. Some great tips in it. Doubt we’ve enough detailers here now to keep something like that going now though…
