Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

hi, I need some help, please. I have an Hons degree in early childhood education and care, and am currently subbing in a special school as a teacher. I want to qualify as a special education teacher but don’t want to go back and do primary or secondary teaching to get qualified. Does anyone have advice on what route to take? I am registered under route 3 (further education) but I was told I can never get a permanent job in a special school under route 3.

Please advise if you can. TIA

The only way to be recognized as a teacher is by gaining a teaching qualification- you could do a postgraduate diploma in teaching (2yrs), either primary or post primary. Hibernia offer a part time route.
