Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi everyone,

I’m looking to buy a 1940’s house. I had a survey done but it won’t be ready until next week and I’m a bit panicked. If anyone has an idea of why the roof is brown or what it could be that would be great. Thanks In advance. The house is G rated

If it's the ceiling in the room you're talking about, it looks like it was recently skimmed and wasn't painted.

I'm open to correction though, but that's my best guess.

A little hard to see , but what markw7 said above ..

I suppose the next question is , why was the ceiling skimmed , could be lots of perfectly valid ,no prob reasons ,could be covering up old damp stains , cracked plaster , horrible ceiling stipple , none of which would necessarily a deal breaker
