    Hi,

I’m looking at buying <Snip> in Sallins and wanted to see if anyone could tell me what the noise levels are like (loud parties & bad neighbours).

I knocked in to chat to the neighbours but none answer the door so I can’t tell.

I’ve done the usual of visiting the estate at different times of the day and week but I’d feel better having actual feedback from a resident.

    thanks!

I'll think you'll find that the nose from there doesn't impact the running of boards.ie in any way. Happy to be of assistance.

    Hi, welcome to Boards.

You’ve posted this in the incorrect forum. No big deal, of course. Try starting a new thread with your query again in the Region Forum for Kildare and some of the users there will be able to help.

    Best of luck!

I've removed the actual address to avoid identifying anyone. You can ask for general information regarding the area, not for information on a specific house.

You’re probably better off trying to determine the level of sound proofing in any semi-D property - parties and bad neighbours may not be particularly evident in advance of house purchase but badly insulated walls, especially if an established estate are likely to feature on some discussion forums or book face - late 90s properties can especially be troublesome but really any modern house may have sound travelling issues if semi D

Even then I’ve experienced different levels of sound insulation in different houses in the same estate - so it’s not always once size fits all for that estate
