Receiving a wire from Brazil to AIB account

    hi, a friend of mine sent me a wire transfer from Santander Brazil to my AIB account in Ireland. It’s been about 10 business days now and nothing. He is adamant he sent it to the right account. He even rang his bank and they have opened an investigation. I’m wondering though, would AIB have put a block on the transfer coming from Brazil for some reason?? I’m at a loss what could have happened!!!
