As title, I'm looking at a budget watch. I will have phone with me so independent gps not currently a concern. I'm looking between xiaomi and gard pro both retail approx 90 euro and I do not want a fit bit, a rugged watch no need for spotify or that apps, I keep getting pointed at something called a north511 but that seems like a scam

Anyway any insights welcome, I'm a noob so happy with basic but accurate monitoring

I've gone through a couple, so I'll give you my thoughts. I started with Fitbit but I won't comment on them.

Xiaomi - I had the miband 7 - great value device, long lasting battery and more features than you would think for a device that size/prize. One health warning, mine failed so I had to get it replaced. Ended up buying the next watch in the meantime

Amazfit blip - another budget friendly option. It's probably equal features wise to the Xiaomi. I moved off this as the GPS wasn't as reliabile as I wanted.

Garmin Forerunner 55 - This is the "entry" garmin watch. Cheaper than other garmins and doesn't have features like Garmin pay etc but a very good device. Not touchscreen which suited me a lot better.
