Hi there, our barely used 3 year old tv has started to go all black, like somebody is leaking black ink into the screen. Not sure if

we have warranty with power city but just wondering is it worth getting fixed.

Thanks we checked and no warranty, think expired after one year….nothing we can do, terrible really a lovely hardly used tv.

Three years is not reasonable for an expensive TV. You actually have six years during which you have rights get the tv fixed, or replaced. Go back to Power City and remind them of their obligations under consumer law.

Consumer needs to show that it is a manufacturing issue and not caused by power surges or anything else.

So OP needs to check online and see if its an issue for others. Maybe contact samsung direct and see if they will repair it - yes, Power city are ultimately responsible, but in many cases its far far easier to go direct to the manufacturer.

Samsung themselves are quite good on rectifying issues

Thanks for that, will give Samsung a go, it is hard to explain but basically tv comes on perfect and then after a few minutes a real creepy black like bleed comes across the screen.

Aldi have 40 inch TVs in the next couple of days.

Can you say the model number and have you tried other inputs??? Is it on saorview or sat channels?
