Hi. Just wondering am I correct in assuming transfers are not required unless a child has played at the u12 grade or older?

We are moving home in new year in Dublin and obviously going to move the girls to nearest club. I assume an 8 or 6 year just needs to register as member of new club and nothing else required at their age? the 8 year old played u8 gogames this year.

@Deskjockey would be correct above in GAA terms. However, I see no corresponding provision in the LGFA Rule Book -

Seems that under LGFA Rules, once you're a member of a club at all, you have to apply for a transfer if you wish to join a new club, no matter how old you are.

Chances are you'd get away with just bringing them to the new club anyway, but the 'by the book' answer might be different.

We had it in the club therefore I new it must have been there somewhere which is why I went looking for it. The rule book is a bit of a mess though

I wouldn't get tied up in rulebooks to be honest folks, the main point here is these kids are 8 and 6 and the reality is that 99% of clubs will just register them and that's it, It would be extremely unusual and surprising if there is any red tape here given their young ages.
