Hi all, just looking for advice here, young fella (13) is already a heavy X Box series X user and looking to get into PC gaming properly, and is requesting a Gaming PC for Christmas. Have a cousin in Germany that could bring back a part or 2 in time for Christmas if required. hoping there might be some improvement on prices with BF coming up.

Looking at something on the current platform AM5 so there is a possibility of upgrading maybe at some stage.

Here is a potential build, but its coming in higher than I'd like , could change out the 7800XT for a 7600XT or an alternative. would be great to bring the price down below 1200 euro. Open to suggestions from those who are more familar with current pricing and better value. Amazon UK also an option.

There's an RX 6800 (non-XT) for 395eur on Mindfactory (or January delivery on AmazonDE). It's only ~15% slower than a 7800 XT.

Can save 30eur by going for Ryzen 7500F "tray" (7600 without iGPU or box cooler)

Talking of CPU cooler, Thermalright & ID-Cooling are the champions of value right now. 20eur Burst Assassin 120 / SE-214-XT is as good as that be quiet.

See if you can find DDR6000-CL30 instead of CL36 - slightly better.

Avoid Arctic P12 slim fans if your case is big enough - go for regular P12 or F12 (with PWM PST). Can also get away with no extra fans in a pinch.
