When to pay DIRT on Raisin account

I am a PAYE tax payer. I have a Raisin 3 year Fixed Term Deposit Account in an EU country, which does not deduct any witholding tax . I cannot access the money or the interest until the 3 years are up. However I got a letter showing interest was credited to my account on the first anniversary date. As I have not received the money and cannot access it until the 3 years are up, do I have to pay DIRT on that interest as it is credited to the account each year or can I wait until year 3 when I actually receive the interest?
