7 answers left but not asking just yet. Have only had one go at it so far. Sat down last night with it then took out the Diffney quiz and finished that in one sitting. Love the nerdy side of Christmas 😁

😂just had another quick look and got all 7.

Anyone need Diffney Christmas Cracker answers?

Can someone please confirm 60 across? I have letters 1,2,3 & 5, and there's only one letter I can see that would make sense in position 4, but I can't see how it relates to the clue at all.

    Mensa

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,656 ✭✭✭tscul32

Under the table can mean secret or covert and 'means' is an anagram of mensa. The inter club bit could be Mens A🤷, but sports clues wouldn't be my strong point. The contesting a table quiz bit I figure is cos mensa is for brainiacs.

Mensa is the Latin for table

Last one and just can't crack it:36D -y-a-o '…like an eager beaver or busy bee, being the motoring drive you see.' I'm sure I'll kick myself when I see it.

I haven't started this yet but did the IT jumbo crossword this morning. Started on the Crosaire but the numbers for the clues are wrong, has anyone figured this out?

There's two 3 letter answers in the grid but none of the clues indicate a 3 letter answer so it might just be a lost cause!

They printed the correct grid in the paper yesterday.

I'm missing just one clue - 32 across.
