A Single Tea Bag Could Release Billions of Microplastics Into The Body

Only some brands. Neither Lyons, Lipton's, Tetley nor Barry's, to name just a few, contain any microplastics.

As far as I know those use paper instead of plastic bags or are loose teas. Some 'health' brand teas actually come in plastic bags, which combined with hot water, is potentially a risk as they could as well be leaching microplastics

I think it is the fancy green tea bag stuff in the pyramid tea bags that contain all those plastics, Barrys and Lyons have fully natural plant fibre tea bags

It's more the microplastics in the glue used, rather than the bag itself. The named brands used such glue until recent years.

What about the likes of SuperValu or Lidl's own brand teabags?
