Are hyundai still known for issues? The new n line nice looking car but have been warned off them by a guard who has driven them for work and read8ng threads on reddit. 5 year un,Limited warranty would give some peace of mind.

I have 2021 Tucson Executive Plus 1.6L Petrol. Absolutely zero issues, done 95000 km so far. Spent only on 4 new tyres as I got 5 free services.

Just passed its first NCT with flying colours. Highly happy to recommend in terms of reliability. Drivers seat comfort i would give it 7/10 (compared to Merc seat).

I did hear Diesel engines having issues, so avoid those perhaps.

Cheers, yeah think the n line is phev. Nicer then rav4 which I was considering but new model of that being released next year so didn't want buy new yet old model so quickly.

I have a 231 PHEV Executive plus. Close to 80k km (company car). No issues whatsoever.

The N-Line are more sportier look. I opted for executive plus version, as artificial leather seats are easier to clean/wipe as we have kids. It's suede texture seats in N-Line. PHEV will be nice.

I am considering to switch to full ev in 2025.

a Garda car in many ways isn’t the best example to base a car on. They have a horrendous life and are driven by multiple people who are not going to treat it as their own.

Yeah that popped into my head alright. Might not keep up with servicing on time either.

no they’re serviced well and often and get lots of tyres but the wear and tear is much higher.

Friend of mine had a diesel one.
Traded in for a petrol one.
Traded back in withing 10 months as he said the petrol guzzled fuel.
I have no experience of one but this is according to him.
I quite like the N-Line myself. What is the economy like on these?

My 1.6 Phev averages 6.8 l per 100km which equates to about 40 mpg. Not the most economical as I do long journeys but not terrible either considering the size and the fact I'm carrying batteries around.

My sister in law has had a series of Tuscon's for several years (blindly trades up to a new one every 2nd or 3rd year) and she's never had issues. The "N-Line" thing is just a "sporty" trim level, similar idea to R-Line on VW's, S-Line on Audi, M-Sport on BMW, etc.

I think they've been the number one selling car in this country for the last several years running, so they must be a safe enough bet. Not really my own cup of tea, but a safe bet and probably decent residuals, considering their popularity.

That's a pretty high consumption. Are you driving over 100 speed?

I am getting 5.6L/100 km on petrol hybrid (not plug in hybrid). I am doing 600 km per week at 80-100 kmph. I think the sweet spot for my car is 85 kmph and gives best mileage on this speed.

Just checked this morning. 6.6 l/100km average in the last 10000 km. My daily commute is usually M1/M50 (120km a day) so a lot of motorway driving. As it's a company car I'm not overly conscious about efficiency to be honest.
