    I'm having difficulty accessing Whitepages, is anyone else experiencing this also?

    It's a US people search / background check site, containing details of 90% of US adult population, which is of great help when piecing together families with living members. It also shows alternative names and close relatives. Looks like international access has been removed

    Never heard of it. I might have found my elusive granny there as I believe she was in the US for a while.

    I have found it very useful for US records…. gives rough age and details of others living in house. With the loss of landline phone directory and no up to date Thom's, tracing living folks is difficult.

    It’s working fine for me in the US, for what it’s worth. The name comes from when everyone had landlines. The phone book had white pages for residential and non-commercial numbers and yellow pages for businesses. Old copies are a great research source.

    The online version is a two-edged sword. Useful but gives way too much information that phone books never did. Age, family members and much more. Criminals love it.
