+DID Electical,Heavins in Athlone and Miele.

They tend not to install if you are a distance from them ,I find.

I visited DID a month ago to check out washing machine as my 20 year old Miele has got too noisy. Went for an A rated Bosch 9kg as wearing large clothes.

Living on social welfare trying to save a few bucks on delivery and installation would add around 70 odd euros to the price. Price match and got it for E550 and free delivery.

Freestanding unit was heavy to move and out enough to get drain hose and filler pipe removed and installed.

New unit in place but unstable as legs needing adjustments but got it tilted and used my slippers to adjust legs and now stable.

Age Action i was told about and as on disability i joined them as had other jobs needing to be done and came out to do them and move old washing machine down into garage which they did as i had a sack truck to aid movement.

5 years ago i could do all these jobs and now restricted to even the simplest ones.

I had a problem, the repairman fixed it, but then another and another problem occurred.

I regret that initially I called the repairman because I should have bought a new machine right away.

I live far away from any big city.

I will contact different stores on Monday.
