    Hi all,

Just a quick question regarding references for potential jobs.

It is acceptable to give the two references from your very last employment instead? I was in this particular employment for around five years and built many solid working relationships in the process with various individuals. Before that I was exactly a year in a previous position, but that is a number of years ago. So would it be possible to give the two references from my last employment instead? Or will it matter at all to potential employers?

    Many thanks in advance.

I did the same when I was last asked for references, two from the same job, and no issues. I reckon asking for such was mostly a tick-box exercise for HR hence two references from the same employment would not matter.
