    Hello,

Just wondering if anyone could point me at a supplier for this.

I want to get an electric sit-stand desk for working from home.

Most of them seem to come with a crappy laminated fake wood top.

I spend a lot of time at the desk so would rather have something natural.. real wood.

The standingdesks can be bought as just the frame and mechanism.. without a top.

So Im thinkin I could get a top myself..

I have seen nice solid bamboo or oak worktop type panels online.. just not in Ireland..

Would anyone be able to tell me who might supply something in that line.. maybe 1600x800x100 ??

    Thanks

where in the country are you? there's a place called the wood factory in north county dublin who might be able to help.

i expect you'll pay good money for what is essentially a bespoke desk top.

Contact a kitchen supplier and ask for just a section of worktop. They usually do solid oak at least in most kitchen places.

Strahan timber do some hardwood panels

Have you thought of using Baltic Birch plywood? I used an 18mm sheet of that for my desk a few years ago, looks great. Got it from Strahan and they offered a cutting service back then so I had a full panel cut into 2 so I could fit it in my car. Then trimmed to size when I got home
