Seeking a Room in Dublin City for 2-3 nights a week...

    Hi there,

I’m looking to rent a room in Dublin for 2-3 nights a week (Mon–Wed/Thur) within 5-8km of the city centre.. I work in IT and am currently in the process of securing a contract role in Dublin City, which I’m hopeful of landing in the next 4-6 (March-April timeframe). In preparation, I’d like to explore available rental options.

I'm from Co. Clare and plan to return home each Wednesday/Thursday evening to be with my family and work remotely for the rest of the week. So, essentially, I just need a comfortable place to rest my head for a couple of nights a week—you’d hardly notice I’m there!

I'm open to either a daily or monthly arrangement, depending on what my employer offers in terms of remote work. I should have more clarity on that closer to the date.

    A little about me:
I’m easy-going, sociable, and sporty, always up for a good chat and a laugh! I take pride in keeping a clean and organised home—as a parent, I completely understand the importance of keeping things tidy and running smoothly. I’m also not a bad cook 😄

If this sounds like a good fit, feel free to contact me at tc_eire@yahoo.com.

Looking forward to hearing from you soon!

    Best Regards,
    Tony

Could you contact a few hotels and try to do a deal?

….if things are tight, maybe, but getting up for a days work could be an issue…..

Do you need cooking facilities? I know a guy who had an arrangement on a nightly basis for a room and bathroom in Rathmines. He used to stay 4 nights a week.

You used to be able to get digs that were a cheap way of doing this. Unfortunately Airbnb has done away with those types of arrangements. Looking on Airbnb just last week there were bedrooms to rent that were the same price as hotels. And the minimum was about 45 a night. Maybe you could do that for one week and then say to the AirBnb host, could you do a deal with them. However I think it would be difficult to find as it would be an inconvenience to them plus during weeks when there's a concert or something that puts the price up they will lose out.

When I need to stay over regularly, I stay in the Generator Hostel in Smithfield. It's usually about 20 euro a night on weeknights(except Friday).
