I tried those from Tesco in the blue bottle, but they didn't feel great.

I'd read quality of the supplement really makes a difference.

Any particular fish oil with omega 3 that comes recommended?

Are fish oils sometimes prescribed by a Dr? Meaning prescription grade would be the best, presumably?

I can recommend Mor Epa, there more expensive than other brands but you pay for quality

You would want to make sure that the product is tested by a third party.

The claim in Ireland is that anything on the shelf has been third party tested.

Fish oil varies according to source apparently. This idea of heavy metals present in fish being present in fish oil is kind of thought provoking.

I got some Seven Seas Cod Liver oil (apparently a mix of omega three and regular oil), but haven't tried it yet.

the Bare Biology brand was recommended to me by a doctor for one of the kids.

I wouldn't worry too much about metals, like mercury, too much, unless you are carrying a baby. But each to their own.

I do eat canned oily fish fairly regularly, so I don't supplement, but I might consider it. I have high cholesterol, but on medication.

I was advised by my doctor to stop taking Omega 3 fish oils as they raised my LDL cholesterol levels.

So just keep an eye out for that.
