They are available in most shops. supermarkets, hardware stores, petrol stations, screwfix etc.

One word of advice I'd offer is not to buy them in bulk from the euro stores. They are rubbish quality.

Pay a little bit extra and get a good brand like Energiser, Varta or Duracell.

Deals had cheap ones in big A4 blister packs, but I found that they are physically lighter than the norm and barely even last even a quarter of the duration of a good branded one. The last batch that I got were down at an electrical wholesale counter, sometimes they do multipacks and they can work out well. All depends on how often you want to be swapping them out, some of the better branded ones last around 1.5 years on temperature sensors here.

Tiger, if they have them - my local is out of stock - €2 for 2. Was €1.50 not too long ago!

Most euro shops seem to sell them in multipacks with 2016 and 2025 batteries which I never need; and supermarkets want €6+ for two.

By chance I just saw a 4-pack in Dunnes for 5.50 or something similar. Branded too.
