RCL key not working - Have to go to dealer..

    Ive a 97 Mondeo with rcl and the controls on one of the keys. The batteries
    recently went and I replaced them. However after I did, the RCL stopped
    working.

    So I checked the manual and found that if the batteries were out for more than
    a few mins I had to bring the car to a ford dealership to get the RCL reset.

    Anyone had to do this before?

    Is it expensive?
