Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    I have
    - 1 laptop with a wireless NIC and win2k SP4
    - 1 desktop with wireless NIC and XP Pro SP1
    - recently bought a ADSL Modem with built-in Wireless router

When I reset the router, I can ping it from any of the puters. I entered the setup, and disabled all security features.

Everything s cool, i can surf the web, ping the router or the other PC.
Until I reboot! Then, I can't ping the router anymore, and therefore my internet access is lost. I need to reset the router and redo everything

The 3 products are from Belkin.

Have you any idea what i have done wrong or what i should do ?

    thanks

I know its probably obvious but are you saving the settings to the router each time you redo it? Theres always the possiblity that there is a fault in the router and that it is not holding the settings for some reason.

Any possiblitly of trying the router out on another set up or borrowing one to try in your own set up?

    The problem was WEP encryption.

It was disabled on the router, and enabled on the wireless NICs.

Now it is working fine and dandy. (not thanks to Belkin tech support) :o)

    Take it easy everyone.
