Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I find that crowd whose name you've forgotten to be the bestest delivery boys in the whole world...

Are you thinking of GLS by any chance? And how much was the package worth (with p&p included)?

Right so. €120 is well over the €22 max allowed, so if its been stopped by Customs you're paying extra son. Thats is the sender hasn't marked it as less than €120 (or as a gift)...then you might get away with it. Can't help with the number, try using the search function for GLS.

Customs don't take into account shipping at all. If the goods are worth $100 and you go with basic shipping (say $15), it will say $100 on the package. If you go with next day air shipping (say $40), it will still say $100 on the package. So there's really no logic in going with cheaper shipping in the hope of not getting customs on the goods :)

    Wrong.

    http://www.revenue.ie/pdf/pn1882.pdf
The value of the goods for the purposes of charging customs duty is
calculated on the price paid or payable for the goods plus the cost of
transport (including postage), insurance and any loading or handling
    charges associated with the delivery
of the goods into the EU.
