connecting a guitar to pc

    how easy is it to connect a guitar/ amp to a pc?? will the sound quality be good?

    The optimal solution is to run a mic to your amp and plug that in to your sound card, but you can run a line out if you sn't have a mic. You may need to get one of those converters that you plug into a guitar lead that'll allow you to plug it on to the smaller "headphone" sized connections on a sound card.
    And lastly, you can plug your guitar directly in, but it usually it means crappy sound quality and you've gotta turn all the volume settings up to maximum to hear it.
