Nirvana were everyones best band when they were 13, however ye then realise pretty soon that theres so much more to music.
plus the recent techno remixes of tracks off nevermind have turned my stomach *shudder*

heh i have In Utero, Bleach (which i gave away a while ago), Unplugged and Nevermind along with several singles ..
its just now they rarely if ever get played.
A good band but by no means one of the greatest ever and I think they carry a bit more respect (not quite the word im looking for) due to the death of Cobain, just like The Doors. although theres a hella lot more soul and depth to the latters music then Nirvanas, even if they did come out with a similar percentage of semi-good tracks.

Although I think bad religion are kinda ****ty, if you like them buy a couple of Black Flag CDs. Thy're the best punk band ever. Nirvana were good but best band ever is pushing it very far. I'd have to say my favorites are Pantera, Black Sabath and Black Flag.

I agree that Nirvana is a great band but what about the Foo-Fighters, Metallica, The Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Pearl Jam?

I saw a portion of the Nirvana tribute gig......the bouncers in the Olympia are really sound, intelligent and really helpful!!!

Thats cos thier combined age (takin away Iron Madien and G n R's) are less than Pearl Jam or Pink Floyd, i used to lsten to em, fupin years ago, and you will find that very few bads have as much depth, but of these new bands Talent reeks........
btw Iron Madien and Gun's n Roses an AC/DC have just as much depth..

Who else has songs about padre pio, derek davis, johnston mooney & o'brien (the epic bread wars of 1991), full irish breakfast (rashers, sausages, eggs, mushroom bacon, all of which si a full irish breakfast, all of which is a full irish breakfast etc.)

seriously, my fave band at the minute is probably someone like fugazi or call of jehu, can't say they're the best band in the world though..

jesus it has to be one of the lamest songs i have ever heard.
complete waste of the 20 minutes needed to download it.
from the beepybop intro to the lame ass backstreet boy lyrics halfway through (i cant seem to find myself again my walls are closing in) and then pretending to be hard.
all in all one hilariously bad song.
have to love that dodgy drum machine for all the non-chorus bits as well.
